The Department of Forest Science at the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan, is committed to providing quality education, practical training, and research opportunities in forestry and natural resource management. The department aims to develop skilled professionals who can contribute to sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, and environmental stewardship.
Through a combination of classroom learning, field-based experiences, and research activities, the department engages students and faculty in addressing contemporary environmental challenges. Its areas of teaching and research include forest ecology, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, freshwater ecosystems, natural resource management, and ecosystem restoration.
